| so i haven't updated in, well, absolutely forever. like almost a month. i kinda feel bad, but then it's like wow, i do have a life! hehe, anyways.. i'm definitely more active on myspace now. it's just a lot less work than a xanga, and yes, surprise surprise, i am a very lazy person. so i feel the need to fill people in on my life.. so here goes. i'll recap a few exciting events of the past month.
i got my homecoming pictures, but they didn't turn out that great, so there are only a few i really like. i'd have them up here but my scanner is refusing to participate in the scanning action... so it's probably not gonna happen anytime too soon.
faith, jon, grant, and i finally made it to ichiban, a japanese open grill restaurant... that was so cool! and the food was amazing. my favorite parts were when the chef was flipping an egg on a spatula, then cracked it, then flipped the yolk around. haha and grant was the "big-mouth" of the party.. he caught the piece of chicken flipped into his mouth. we can go back there anytime you want to, sweetie... *hint hint*
yesterday was 5 months for grant and me... and it was a great day. we went to church then to bullride mania...... man i love rodeos! if charley was faster (and of course if i had a little $) i'd so be out there barrel racing. i am such a redneck... i had a great time and i was so into all the events. we were truly blessed too... we walked in, annoyed because of bad directions making us late, and a guy at the door offers us front row tickets for the same price as regular tickets! someone was watching out for us there. :) there were a few bull rider injuries too... one kid broke his nose when a bull stepped on his face, one got stepped on on his inner thigh... but everything was "still intact" (haha), and sadly.... another got bucked off and was fine until the bull turned around and started attacking him and he couldn't get up.. the bull stepped on his neck and the cowboy just went still. it was so eerie.. the paramedics were rushed out and everything... i hope he's okay. i know it's a dangerous sport and that's the fun of it but man, when you see it happen, it's a bit of a shock.
well i better get off and continue packing... we're going to tennessee to visit my cousins for thanksgiving break... yeah, my entire time off school and i won't even be around to enjoy it. hopefully i'll still be sane (or at least as sane as i am now... i'll admit i know i'm not 100%) when i get back. i'll miss ya'll! happy thanksgiving, and remember what you're truly thankful for. *cough* ME *cough* ;D

don't have much time to update.. but i'll try for a short one.
today was a great day. it was a half day at school, so we got out around 12:20. bethy, april and i went out to barnes and nobles and hung out and drank frappuccino's and did 3 where's waldo? books and an eye-spy book and bought some sudoku puzzle books and did those too. it was so much fun.. love those girls. :D came home and played on my beautiful newly-tuned piano.. it sounds so pretty, i wish i knew a few more songs to do it some justice. then i filled out some college apps (or finished them, i should say.) and finally, i went to grant's house. we ate out at palermo's and sat in our favorite seat and discussed whether or not animals have spirits/souls/something like that but not human-like and whether or not they go to heaven. i believe they're not like humans at all, but they're special and have their own sort of soul and that they can join us in heaven... not all animals of course, and maybe i argue this badly, but the animals you're close to in life... like my dog bo. i love him like i love my little brothers. i don't know what i'd do without him. i know he's more than just a creature that wants food and shelter.. he is capable of loving.
what do you guys think? do animals have something more to them? something comparable to a soul? or are they just instincts?
it was good to see my awesome boy again, in any case. :)
well school's been getting a little stressful.. english is killing me and calc and physics aren't helping the situation much either. i really enjoy english.. it's just so much work on so many different things at the very same time. i actually need to go study vocab and calc now... bleh. i'm heading off..

so like... homecoming tomorrow... yay! i'm so excited...... so today was pretty fun. for homecoming half day we get to go outside and hang out and have FUN during school hours. i, of course, hung with the best people like, ever. :D then tonight, i went to the football game with bethy and had hot cocoa so i was SO hyper.. plus it was cold.. so i was like extra hyper. grant came after a bit, then we hung out with bethy and billy, and i also got to see michelle, chloe, april, and a few others. heather was there too and she seemed like she tried to avoid me and grant, then you could tell she was telling people about grant and me because they'd look over at us. yeah. anyways, that was a bit awkward. but oh well. i guess that's just how it's going to be. grant got me the fray cd..... i'm listening to it right now and i love it. we came home and watched drumline then.. haha. i guess we were in the marching band mood.
i know i haven't updated in a while. fact is, i have barely been online lately with so much going on. school's getting crazy, plus work, plus trying to see grant and my friends. i haven't even seen charley in almost two weeks! hopefully i'll get to go sunday after church or something. i really need to see my pony. i'm giving a riding lesson monday.. so i'm pretty excited about that. hopefully charley's as awesome as always.
i can't wait for tomorrow... bethy and i are going to pick up our boutinere's for homecoming, then going to maggie moo's for some ice cream lol, then we're coming back to my house to do our nails and makeup and hair and get all ready together, then when the boys come over we're headed out to eat at olive garden. so in that case, i better get to bed!
love, meagan

| man.. life is so fun right now. plus i'm just in an all-around good mood. today after school i went up to see charley.. and i tried something new and really different with him.. and he responded SO well.. basically, i rode bareback and without a bridle.. just a rope around his neck and my legs to guide him. we did walk, jog, and lope... he was so wonderful. he even was a little spunky at one point so i got some training in too. it's SO nice to see how all your hard work is paying off. i'm starting to think more seriously about pursuing a career with horses... even if it's not the most money, (although it can be if i get the RIGHT career), i'll love what i do every day. when i came home tonight, bo greeted me by acting all crazy and running around in circles, and we played fetch for a bit and i realized how all my time put into working with him is paying off too... he's the perfect dog. how many dogs can you take on a jog without a leash? how many can you throw the ball for and tell them to stay and they only chase after it on command? how many can you tell to stop on their way back, have them do a trick from halfway across the yard, then come up on command and give you a high-five? seriously...animals are my passion. i wouldn't be happy with a lot of jobs.. i know that for a fact. ah well.. we'll see how i end up i suppose. :D
fall fest yesterday was incredible... all the shows were so good! plus hanging out with faith and jon (and grant when he showed up after jumping out of a plane earlier that day hehe) is always fun. :D haha faithy - we got them to slow dance! *high five*
wednesday bethy and i are going to buy boutiniere's (sp!?!?) for our men for homecoming... which i absolutely can't wait for. it's the last homecoming i'll ever get to go to and i have the best date ever. ;) i hope all my friends come though, date or no date... it's just homecoming, not prom.. only five bucks, not like $80... plus i really want it to be a great night.. and it's not the same if barely any of your friends show up. c'mon guys! :D anyway, after that i'm heading to the new holland fair with grant.. where he's gonna try to win me something. ;)
this weekend michellie's coming home from college and we're going to low places... anyone interested is invited! sorry grant, you don't get a say in this... you're coming. ;) line-dancing galore... it's so much fun plus it's a GREAT workout. ;)
well till then... take care ya'll! <3
